The complete set of global shortcuts, from kolu’s action registry. Mod is Cmd on macOS and Ctrl on Linux and Windows. Press Mod + / in the app for the same list as a live overlay.

Three chords read Cmd/Super instead — the palette, new terminal, and find. Super is the key labelled ⊞ or ✦ next to Alt (X11 and Wayland call it Super or Meta; Windows calls it the Windows key), and kolu uses it for exactly the chords whose Ctrl form belongs to whatever is running inside your terminal — see the note at the end.

Palettes & switchers

Why three chords use Super

Every key you press in a terminal is a byte your shell is owed, and Ctrl chords are how a shell receives them. Ctrl + K deletes to end of line, Ctrl + F moves the cursor right, Ctrl + T transposes two characters — and coding agents bind them too. An app that claims those chords breaks the tools you opened it to run, so kolu’s palette, new-terminal, and find chords sit on Cmd/Super, a modifier a terminal program never sees. macOS was always fine — Cmd is already invisible to a PTY — so nothing changes there.

The trade is that your desktop may claim a Super chord first. KDE binds Super + T to its tile editor, for instance, in which case Super + Enter makes the terminal instead. That one you can rebind in your desktop settings; Ctrl + K inside bash you cannot.
